Rocket League is a very fun pick up and play online car football game.

It is easy to learn but hard to master, the skill ceiling is basically endless. The game loads up quick and you rarely have to wait to find a match. Matches are only 5 minutes so you can hope on and off the game without much hassle.

The community can be a little toxic and there are a fair few instances of team mates quiting as soon as your team goes a goal down but thats expected with online games. It's more common that team mates complement your goals / assists or don't say anything at all.

I have owned this game for years, even the previous version (super sonic acrobatic rocket powered battle cars) and I still play it now mostly thanks to the ease at which I can find a match, the short length of the games, and the high skill ceilng. Perfect for pick up and play.
