Ushaw
A large monastery recently converted to a B&B amongst other things. Has a nice garden, a cool little book room open 24hrs, and various exhibits.
Quite a nice place to stay.

Durham
Historic posh city built on a hill complete with rivers, a castle, cathedral, old pubs, and lots of students. Everyone there is very fit and healthy. Nice place, similar to York.

Lindas Farne
An old healing / religous island that regularly gets cut off the mainland by the tide.
Interesting little village with a castle, church, pubs, etc.
A bit on the expensive side and out of the way but it was nice to see

Conway
A small yet very interesting old town. It boasts a visitable castle, walkable castle walls, a small harbour and beach, shops, pubs, and a nice decent sized woodland walk.
It's also relatively close to other interesting places to visit in wales.
I really like conway.

Canaeravan
Nice little town complete with visitable castle, castle walls, old buildings, a harbour, and small beach.
We stayed at the black boy inns appartments, which was a nice vertical building.
Landuodnuo
Not very impressed by this, was a bit rough / run down, lots of boring shops, large concrete pier.
Ripon
Nice little city, smallest in England I think.
Had the Ripon horn blower who blows their horn 4 times at each corner of the city to let the citizens know they can sleep safe at night as the horn blower is on watch.
Had a nice cathedral, a bit of a canal, some old shops and pubs.
Skipton
Nice town complete with Canal, Castle, Woodland Walks, and old streets / shops / pubs.
I enjoyed my time here although the church insisted on playing its church bells super loud for hours on end to try to drown out the gay pride event.
The castle was interesting, a small but good size to give you an idea of what castle life was like.
The woods behind the castle looked cool though I only walked a bit of them as my symptoms were playing up.
Knaresborough
Only stayed here briefly but it was a very nice place.
Theirs whats left of a big castle on the top of the hill with a walk down to the river below.
It has a viaduct and attractions like mother shiptons cave.
Newark
Cool little town. Has castle walls, ruins, and moat / canal with bridge that you can walk around.
Whitby
Been here plenty of times. Best place to go to within reasonable range of Sheffield.
Goth weekends twice a year are interesting to observe.
Has a nice beach, spooky cathedral, old pubs and shops.
Sandsend
Nice place to stay if you want to visit whitby, small place though.
Has a nice woodland walk and beach.
We stayed in a particularly nice place that was like a mini mansion complete with garden.
Totness
Only stayed here briefly, seemed posh and nice enough.
Paiton
We stayed in a caravan here near a beach. Nice place if you fancy walking. Has woodland and beach walks to get to other areas.
Thirsk
Small town, not much to do, dog bit my hand and the owner just scurried off.
Wouldn't visit again.
Norwich
Just stopped off here. Seemed a nice historic city.
Port Merion
Very nice place. Some rich guy decided to buy up a bunch of wierd and colorful things and make a village out of it.
Its a holiday destination now and you have to pay to get in but I'd say its worth it. There's plenty to do their. You can easily spend 3-4 hrs.
The drive in was nice too.
Manchester
Was feeling really shitty when I visited here so I didn't enjoy it.
The city itself is nice, does feel like a mini London up north.
London
Been here a few time for hospital appointments.
It's an interesting place with plenty to see and do. Museums, parks, canals, old important building, modern buildings.
Some areas are rough. It's always packed.
